Technophobia: Dead Metal tournament

The development of this game was not covered on this website. Sorry about that. It's a mini project I made to concentrate on the Technophobia RPG hand to hand combat mechanics. It's given me hope that I can make the RPG the way I wanted it to be. The characters are robots from the novel Technophobia: Operation Dead Circuit, but it takes place about 30 years earlier. Playing this game and reading Operation Dead Circuit will fill you in on some porkies the characters have been telling! It ties in with my fisrt attempt at making the RPG.

Confirmed release date: 2 December 2022

Technophobia (Action RPG)

This game has been put on the backburner. It ties in with the Technophobia novel. The core mechanics worked up to a point, but needed to be started over. The current plan is to make games focusing on core mechanics and then combine them into this game. When this is working it will have hand to hand combat, shooter mechanics and unique hacking mechanics most companies shy away from. Because Reuben is cursed with being motivated by challenges. robots. I have some really crazy ideas for the storyline. More on that later! Weapons Log

I've had VERY good feedback on the storyline. I have a somewhat playable version of the game. It's mostly good news. But not entirely. Early in the development of the game I started making the computer hacking mechanics. As I started to build the levels I realized data was getting corrupted. The thing I used to save all the widgets (like control screens, emails, buttons and stuff) are volatile! Also, to make it work I will have to borrow more ideas from the real internet, like MAC addresses and heaven forbid maybe even IP addresses. But it WILL be done!!

It's not all doom and gloom. I've restarted the project. This time I will make templates. The first one being a third person shooter. I've actually started it. It's going fairly well. The S4 assault rifle works. I have different versions and you can switch between them. There's the standard version, one with the laser cannon, another with a grenade launcher and one with an extended barrel. I'm toying with the idea of turning Wycombe town center into a level in the training app.

The third person shooter template didn't take long. It's a split screen multiplayer for up to four players. If I was to release it, it would need a little more work. But I wouldn't want to put too much work into a basic shooter. I figured out how to make a fighting game with the help of a facebook forum and got started on Technophobia: Dead Metal tournament.
